Meat Might Be Murder, But it Tastes So Damn Good…

O.k. So I have gone 5 days without eating anything with bones and so far so good. I am not doing this because I have adopted some kind of tree-hugger mentality because I have not and never will. ( I love nature and animals, but I also love to eat them) It is a survival of the fittest world and I feel if I do not get a bit more fit, something in better shape than I am might come along and eat me. Dog eat dog and so on. So, with my wife’s prodding, I have eaten only plant and plant-like life this week. It has not actually been that bad, but to tell you the truth, I can not figure out how vegetarians do it as a lifestyle. Eating vegetables and fruit are just plain boring. I am eating them solely to survive and do not enjoy the experience whatsoever.  I guess that is another way that you can lose weight because you lose the  desire to enjoy food. Sad, but true. I do see how it can save some cash because I will not go to a nice place to eat and dine on leaves. (by the way grape leaves taste like crap). Dawn has made it taste much better by making some interesting dishes, but believe me, given the choice, I would rather be  gnawing on a chunk o’ meat or some wonderful sashimi  instead. Hopefully, it will get easier and with some luck, maybe even some weight loss will make it all worthwhile. I will however not quit my carnivorous ways because I have a mouthful of teeth that I will not let go to waste…

Same Same Lame Lame

I guess not gaining is a good thing, but losing weight was the plan. Football season is now officially over and I can finally get back to doing something productive on Sundays’ instead of sitting on my ass watching overpaid athletes complain that they don’t get paid enough millions to play with a “Ball”. Time to stop watching others exercise.

It is perfect weather right now for biking and kayaking, so I am running out of excuses.   January was a complete loss, (except for weight), but the remainder of this month should work out just fine.
